it’ll be so nice when it’s all over.

EDIT: gosh, it’s so nice to see my familiar looking site up and running again. :)

frustrated-ness

this website needs a serious overhaul. so many dead links, so many outdated links, archaic structure, etc etc etc. i’m really tempted to go the jeff route and take down all the other stuff since i haven’t been updating it anyway…

so totally utterly frustrated right now. this quarter has totally not gone the way i wanted at all. so many stupid little things this quarter have come up to screw things up. this is a long post, so you’ll have to click to continue. =P

low – sunflower

discovered the band low. discovered the song ‘sunflower.’ haven’t listened to anything else on the rest of the album or anything else because i’m so completely hooked on that song. the music, the lyrics… augh it’s so beautiful. i can’t get anything done.

sunflower
low

When they found your body
Giant X’s on your eyes
With your half of the ransom
You bought some sweet, sweet, sweet
Sweet sunflowers
And gave them to the night
Underneath the star of David
A hundred years behind behind my eyes
And with my half of the ransom
I bought some sweet, sweet, sweet
Sweet sunflowers
And gave them to the night

Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet sunflowers x 4
And gave them to the night

i’m so lonely without jer here.

does this really exist?

a heated lash curler??

first off, would this $16 contraption really be so much far superior to a $3 lash curler you can buy at Long’s? second, do you really want a hot iron that close to your eyes? for that matter, do you want any small electrical device that could possibly explode and permanently blind you near your big pretty orbs??

i certainly don’t. But obviously plenty of people do, as the item is totally sold out on Sephora. It’s making someone a pretty nice chunk of change. =P

“mom finds out about blog..”

Okay, first read this article, which is found in The Onion.

Then read this article, which is Blogger’s Helpdesk’s advice on what to do if such an event happens.

it’s pretty funny that Blogger decided to respond to these privacy issues by offering some advice. some of it is quite good, such as the suggestion of using a pseudonym (*cough*aaron*cough*), or delisting yourself from Google (which i probably need to do). The self-censorship stuff just sucks, and while it’s probably a good idea, it really makes keeping an online journal that much less helpful in terms of as a personal development tool. Writing “I hate so and so” or “i wish i could kill someone” in your blog, even as a joke, can lead to serious (often ridiculous) consequences. And because it’s public, you could get screwed over because of some not-so-nice thought you have some odd Tuesday. for thinking!! just for THINKING IT!

anyway, i’m clearly too tired to be coherent right now, but here are just a couple more incoherent mini-rants.

jer left for india tonight. BLARGH!

i really like that michelle branch song ‘breathe.’ it’s purty. :)

i really really really like the two new outkast singles too, hey ya and the way you move. man, why do they rock so much?!

iTunes is a lot of fun!

i’ve finally got my RSS shiat going.. finally!! you can now subscribe to this site if you use an RSS news aggregator.

i’ve got two weeks worth of house renovations to pick up after. that’s one week of mess due to prepping/deprepping for fumigation and one week of mess due to plumbers being at our place repiping everything. the bad part was that walls had to get knocked down to get to our rusty old pipes. the good part is that our unit is done, we have nice new fixtures, a new water heater, and actual water pressure! hooray for prickly hot showers! but that also means i’ve got a lot to clean up after. our kitchen floor is pretty gross, and the drop cloths they laid across our carpets missed a few spots. our bathroom was super nasty with plumber stink, but i cleaned it up and made it sparkly clean on friday. :) at least that part is almost done. >__
