I never understood their arguments about california natural disasters. We get a major earthquake once every 30 years or so. They seem to get hurricanes every 5 years or so. And it just happens, no need to track a storm path or anything time wasting like that.
Agreed. I never understood the fear of earthquakes either. Florida’s getting flattened by hurricanes right now, talking about billions in property damage and stuff. Compared to a major earthquake every 10 or 20 or 30 years? BAH! I’ll take California natural disasters anytime, thankyouverymuch. The last two major earthquakes I experienced didn’t even do any property damage to where I lived. I don’t get it.
Of course we’re from California, maybe our perspectives are warped.
Heck, Hurricane Jeannie is on her way, too… and Crazy Ivan is back… o_O
A TON of typhoons have been going through Japan. There’s been the typhoons, the earthquakes, AND an active volcano here. You get pretty used to it though. :)
