i've finally done it. leave it to the stress of finals to finally drive me to move my blog onto a movable type platform. heh.
what's been done:
- mt configured on pearlescent.org site, linked from pearl.freeshell.org.
- mt templates/stylesheets edited slightly from a default design... maybe more redesign will take place. should i adapt my old design to mt, or do people like this one better? please let comment below!!
- posts from old blogger blog have been imported into mt, and can be accessed through side archive links. boy, i've been blogging for a long time.
- hmm.. the site looks kind of bland. i'll have to come up with a new color scheme eventually.
yay! i've got a new blog to play with!!
so what do you guys think of the new look? feedback, please~!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Wow. Sweet!
You're not a lazy butt like me who's STILL trying to migrate his site over to XHTML 1.0 strict/CSS 2.0 *and* Moveabletype 2.63... :)
Too much whitespace on the right side though, might want to fix that...
Posted by: brian at May 30, 2003 10:23 AMyea, good call on the too much white space on the right thing. it looks especially bad in the links section. i'm trying to figure out how to fix that right now... not sure which tags are controlling that. if you figure it out, please let me know!! i'm not sure if it's the "float" thing in the content class. i have a feeling it might be.
hehehe, i'm not working THAT hard. I started with the plain jane template and am editing from there, not starting from scratch as you are. *grins* you are working much harder than me, my friend. :) I WANT to get to where you are, but it's too much for me to learn all at once!! -bows down to brian's site!!-
More comments! More! More!
Posted by: pearl at May 30, 2003 10:28 AMvery nice pearl...the site has a softer feel to it now. the biggest thing to adjust to is having the "blog" stuff on left as opposed to on the right and the misc links on the right instead of left. other than that! superb presentation. looking forward to future updates. go freeshell!
Posted by: thomas at May 30, 2003 02:52 PMLooks spiff-tacular. Now just keep up with the content :)
Ooh. You should also keep a separate section with all of your "You are _____" links. Just for kicks.
