okay, so my birthday was actually saturday, and i'm actually late in wishing myself a happy birthday. hehe. i guess some things never change.
it's funny that some people thought that i was going to have a birthday celebration of some sort and just not tell them about it. do people think that i don't want to be their friend or something? of course i'd tell people if i was going to celebrate! i just didn't have any get together sort of thing this year... at least not yet. all i did this year was go home to my parents up north and have some yummy black forest cake from the sheng kee bakery by marina foods. oh, and i got my car back. >_< apparently, it got egged at some point during the three months or so my sister was using it (long story), and the paint on the driver's side door took a little bit of damage. not to mention some of it got inside somehow too, and though my sister did an admirable job of cleaning it off, the fact that there's still a little left is a testament to how bad it must have been. 0_o
and speaking of my sister, she is currently smack in the middle of college-decision season. she got her first admissions letter this weekend!! to UC Santa Cruz! woohoo!! the thing is, she just came back from a visit to Davis, and she apparently really likes it up there. So we're keeping our fingers crossed... :)
it was good seeing the family this weekend.... it's kind of funny... as you get older, you get to know your parents as people, and not just as your parents. and everything i learn about them as people, i admire so much....
my sister and i are very, very lucky.
